nice post sheldon.
i think a period of 3 might works if we use other numbers then the complex ones , but thats off-topic and needs more investigation before i continue to talk about that.
however i noticed another thing needs proof , well at least i did not see one yet , it might be trivial but im doubtful :
prove that the cycles are neutral and do not self-intersect : neither attracting nor repelling nor self-crossing.
note that if all the cyles are of finite length => not attracting = not repelling <=> not self-crossing.
