I like your model of "repelling fixed points", particularly for the upper branch in the interval 1<b<eta and in the case of 0<b<e^(-e). In this second situation, the fixed points seem to mee real, attracting, but ... "trans-infinite (!?!)". Tomorrow I shall post two simulation plots, for clarifying what I really mean (... dream?).
