[MO] something practical on Riemann-mapping

I just stepped over this thread in "mathoverflow" (MO) which asks for practical implementation of the Riemann-mapping theorem. Possibly some valuable comments and hints; an interesting link to an exemplaric implementation ("zipper", see below) and very likely waiting for more input from the practical side (thus possibly by some experienced member here - I myself are still not familiar with it)
