small numbers matter too ! - tommy1729 - 02/26/2013
I wanted to express here my vision that small numbers are important in math too and they are not coincidence. This might appear as philosophy and maybe it partially is. Big numbers are often talked about in math and statistics. To give a somewhat more clear example of what I mean , the PNT says how the large primes are distributed within the large numbers on large intervals on average. But the small primes are equally nonrandom and important. I sometimes feel some people are too focused on the large. I know tetration grows fast so I felt I needed to say this. regards tommy1729 |
