Dear users, this forum is LaTeX enabled, a major advancement for writing formulas than discussing everything in ASCII as is necessary in newsgroups. You can put formulas into your postings as in the following example: Code:$$x=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}$$ yields $x=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}$ For a list of the LaTeX possibilities, see the mimetex tutorial. Note however that mimetex does not support all LaTeX commands. edgar Newbie Posts: 1 Threads: 0 Joined: Aug 2007 08/09/2007, 01:06 PM Unlike some other forum I remember, you even see your TeX in the preview. $\int_0^\infty e^{-x^2}\,dx$ So you can fix your mistakes before actually posting it. On smartphones this issue rarely occurs but on laptops and desktops this can make the tex invisible or added "??". Well my experience lately. So I thought I should share it. regards tommy1729 JmsNxn Ultimate Fellow Posts: 1,056 Threads: 121 Joined: Dec 2010 01/19/2021, 03:27 AM (01/19/2021, 12:05 AM)tommy1729 Wrote: Tex sometimes gives problems. those are often related to added spaces ( pressing space or enter ) within or around the tex message. I secretly wish this forum was coded using MathJax. « Next Oldest | Next Newest »
